Cynthia is a ballet dancer at heart and naturally fell in love with the precision, challenge and sense of well-being that Pilates and movement offers. In 2008, Cynthia received her comprehensive Pilates training for teaching including Mat, Reformer, Tower, Ladder Barrel, and Wunda chair through ITT (Integrated Teacher Training) in San Francisco, guided by Pilates Industry leaders, Madeline Black and Jean Sullivan. In addition, she is a nationally recognized and certified Pilates instructor through the NPCP. She has worked for St. Francis Dance Medicine within the Physical Therapy Department and has certifications with BASI Pilates for Pathologies for Pilates.
In the midst of teaching, she naturally fell in love with Barre Fitness and became certified through BarreAbove. After multiple years of teaching classical ballet, group and private Pilates Reformer classes, including directing the Pilates program at Synergy Sports Club in Petaluma, California she also chose to attain a bachelors degree in Psychology and then later as a Registered Nurse where she worked as an Operating Room Nurse in both California and Hawaii. She been teaching full time with Pilates of Hawaii since 2018.

Christina Goodwin,
Certified Pilates Instructor
Christina took her first Pilates reformer class in 2009 and fell in love with Pilates training. As a Registered Nurse in hospital operating rooms for 23 years, she quickly realized that Pilates helped her make it through long grueling shifts and alleviate stress after a long day on her feet. Under the tutelage of Cynthia Weeks and Jodi Calkins, Christina began her Pilates instructional certification journey traveling to Maui Pilates Studio, Align Pilates in Austin, Texas and the University of Utah. She completed her Pilates instructional certification in 2023 and now wants to help others discover the benefits of Pilates in their life. Christina hopes to help others fall in love with Pilates like she had many years ago.
Christina fell in love with exercise at a young age as her parents were always very active as she was growing up. She started working out as a teenager and tried various forms of exercise including aerobics, Taekwondo, spinning and TRX suspension training. In 2002 Christina successfully reached the rank of '1st Dan Black Belt' issued by Grand Master Jong Uhl Kim for the United States Taekwondo Union. Christina is married and a proud mother to her two daughters.
We are excited to have Christina onboard as you will find that her dynamic personality is infectious. You will laugh, be challenged, and feel nurtured simultaneously.
